I normally feed my cat a 5.5 ounce can of Avoderm wet cat food daily (1/2 morning, 1/2 evening). But when we ran out of Avoderm, my husband bought these yams instead. The Iams packaging seemed much more convenient since it's already split into two separate pieces. Well, my cat meowed and meowed and wouldn't stop, which I interpreted to mean she loved Iams and wanted more. But today (about a week of serving yams) we received our batch of Avoderm, so I compared the nutrition facts and found that one can of our regular Avoderm is equivalent to 4-5 servings of yams (both in terms of servings and calories). ). So basically you should be feeding your cat 2-2 1/2 packages of Iams, which is equivalent to a regular 5.5 ounce package of cat food. That makes this Iams more cumbersome and expensive than my healthier Avoderm. I just want people to know if your cat seems to be asking for more - she's probably just really hungry!
