I always buy my kids their "summer" shoes in the middle of winter and their "winter" shoes in the middle of summer because you get the WAY! Best Deals I always measure their feet first and then buy a half to a full size bigger than what their feet measure and it never fails me, but they always wear them for one season and then part of the next (well say us this summer). sandals my daughter will be wearing them this summer and she will get some of these next summer before she outgrows them completely and she will use them as a backup as they get new pairs every year) and I LOVE these sharp sandals! They have such a good grip, are non-slip, which is what my daughter needs, we hike and camp a lot. And they are good when we are fishing because if it gets wet it doesn't matter, they dry quickly. NEVER blisters! Because of the good padding around the edge of this sandal. Don't go wrong with the sharpness! And you can't even tell she has room to grow. I never buy them big enough to make my kids look silly in them or have trouble walking or clinging to their feet. Shoe store and prepare your kids to buy shoes. They always say to buy half an inch more than they currently measure when measuring their foot for growing space. And I like doing it that way, it gives me a head start on preparing for summer so I don't feel overwhelmed and unprepared when it's the same here with winter and winter is worse because it's cold they can't walk outside barefoot and without a coat or boots.
