I was looking for an option to support my 34 lb. Arturia Matrixbrute synth on my Vivo standing desk and couldn't find any good options so thought maybe I could change this monitor mount? Well it works great and was very easy to do. I just assembled the desk mount the way I normally would and then removed the ends of the VESA monitor mounts, then I went to the hardware store and got some stainless steel balls and bolts and attached them to the ends of the mounts to secure the to hold the keyboard so it doesn't slide off the front, then I taped sticky dashboard material over the temples to keep the synth from sliding over and scratching the temples, and voila! Great stand for a synthesizer. I can tilt it up and down at will and it works great. These arms are rated at 33lbs each and I could probably do with a lighter version since I'm splitting 34lbs between both arms, but I wanted to make sure it was solid. I hope this can help someone who wants to do something similar, or maybe it inspires Vivo to make some desktop music keyboard mounts that are even better ;) FYI, the photo shows the synth on the right table above one big silver. Keyboard using this bracket. And tables (VIVO Electric 60 x 24 inch Standing Desk, Black Solid Top, White Frame, Height Adjustable Standing Workstation with Easy 2 Button Controls (DESK-KIT-W06B)) Also see my review on these. These are great standing (or sitting) tables!
