Keracolor Preserve Plus goes far beyond that. It sprays on without any stickiness or residue and leaves my hair shiny and weightless. It helps a lot with hydration and also protects my hair when I use heated styling tools. I have red highlights and not sure yet if this helps keep them from fading, but it definitely doesn't make them fade faster than normal. The bottle says not to be used with other styling products but I still apply a light gel or mousse first then spray onto damp hair and it works well. The main thing I notice is that my hair looks a lot less frizzy. I've layered longer hair and it can look frizzy before I take the time to straighten it or curl it to straighten it. This spray will help him look good without using those tools. And when I do that, it protects my hair from damage. The spray is a little pricey, but it does the job of several products. I hope this helps keep my color. Red fades very quickly. I'll find out in a few weeks if that helps. If so I will re-rate 5 stars.
