I tried a 304g kettlebell and it really wasn't much. That's why I bought this one, as the recommended stabilizer weight is about 16 ounces (1 pound). This weighs 430 grams or 15 ounces. I was concerned as I have a Marantz TT-15S1 turntable with a round silicone strap that runs on the outside. I have nothing to worry about as the disc didn't slow down at all when I added weight. One thing to watch out for is that the hole is tight the first time. Once you use it and the felt moves away from the hole, you're good to go. It acts as both a clamp and a weight. I'm happy with this purchase, if you hear a difference in sound I'll let someone else critique it.
