I bought my daughter a size up so the skirt will last the entire AHG school year. She is nine years old and her stomach is round. I ordered her 18. The length is very modest (below/knee) and the drop was a bit big, but maybe that's because I'm used to buying from Old Navy or Children's Place where everything is small and short.
