Review on πŸ§₯ Caterpillar Men's Heavy Insulated Parka: Reliable Warmth in Regular and Big & Tall Sizes by Luis Tuazon

Durable, warm but USELESS

This coat is SUPER durable. The zipper is plastic but strong. Snaps are well done. And it's VERY warm. I went out in 30 degree weather wearing only a t-shirt underneath and I was VERY warm. And now the bad news. It's useless. It was raining when I just made it around the block with my dog. No heavy rain, but continuous rain. Of course I was warm, that wasn't a problem. But. Towards the end of the walk I could feel the rain pouring down the side/back of my neck - it seemed to be coming from between the hood and the top of my coat. bulky like gloves, earmuffs or your dog's favorite ball in the front flap pockets, there is NO room in the (very warm) hand pockets - outside chest pockets are also WAY small to be useful. My cell phone ONLY fits in the outer breast pockets. And strangely, the pockets open with a zipper on the side, the flap on top. And my phone got pretty wet in that bag, which was always closed on both sides. (Luckily, my protective phone case makes it waterproof.) - Internal chest pockets are there too, but they're sturdy due to the dual flap system that zips up and keeps you warm (which it FULLY does). climb in but I would have gotten used to it I guess. Due to the hood and pockets leaking I cannot recommend this coat. It's durable and warm, but NOT functional. UPDATE: Called the company, they said I must have received a defective coat, but I have since met TWO people who had the same coat in black and BOTH said yes, the coat's coat is leaking in the rain. (None of them make much use of bags, so don't worry about the lack of utility there.)
