I know how difficult it is to design products that can be used with different target systems, so I understand the difficulty of designing a monitor peripheral that effectively matches the laptops on the market. Obviously you need to target the largest possible market to make money. But how well will your solution perform in the 90th percentile laptop market? Good question. In the late 2000s, there were several laptops with retractable second screens. There was a Lenovo W700DS as well as a few others that I don't remember either. For me as a programmer, they would be great for traveling. Eventually, I started lugging around a USB-powered 19-inch portable second display, although that was a problem in my travel bag. Will the trio (12.5" screen, single monitor) live up to my expectations? In short, no. I was able to mount the screen on my 14" Razer laptop, the round discs are unreliable. I don't know what the Answer is, but magnets are wrong. For $240 ($30 off at the time of this review) you can get a 15.6" 4k portable monitor. Of course it's not attached, but I'd say, that the retractable part of the trio is one of its disadvantages.
