People never leave detailed reviews so I figured I'd find a great vacuum bag in California. This. I have a 16 inch California King memory foam mattress. It's a cloud for sleeping but B* for trying and moving. A year ago I thought I bought a vacuum bag but it was only a portable bag. It really was a struggle. I found this bag a few weeks ago. I was hesitant at first, but figured that if it worked, the cost would far outweigh the benefits. I believe it came about 3 days after purchase. Photo #2 is the end result of it actually being boxed and sealed AFTER the 2nd try. The first attempt was used from head to toe. However, the mattress was too thick to cover. So on the second try we tried side by side and it worked! I read the comments and ratings before buying and someone mentioned how they blew their vacuum cleaner. I thought everything was fine, but after 5 minutes I did the same. (haha!) Luckily there was a second vacuum. The second time, for every 1 minute of vacuum, a break of about 3-5 minutes. Photo number 3 after almost an hour. As you can see it has decreased, but only about half. This is a thick* mattress. Photo number 6 (instructions) says 10-15 minutes, but I assume that's the case if you have a regular mattress and not a bougie like mine. There are 2 safety straps that you need to wrap around the mattress like a yoga mat. As you can see in photo #5, the mattress was still too thick to roll, so we folded it in half and secured it with ratchet straps. To be honest it did exactly what it was supposed to do. I can't just blame the company for my big mattress lol. I will say that I wish the bag was a little thicker, although due to the thickness and lack of time I was not able to fully deflate it. The bag began to leak air even before the ratchets appeared on it. The only reason for 4 stars. Even if you are looking for a vacuum bag, this one is worth the money. It almost worked for me and my 16 inch California queen mattress so I know it will work for you too.
