It serves more as a night light than a bug screen! I bought it because a fruit fly laid its eggs in my trash and before I could throw it out, about a dozen little mosquitoes buzzed through my room. I thought this would be the perfect solution to the problem. Two weeks later, no fried bugs in the collection tray and a few more floating around my room. I managed to shred about 10 pieces but a few are still late. The zapper was completely useless at different heights, at different times, with different lighting settings and outlets. None of this works. waste of money!
