I rarely write reviews. You have to be either very good or very bad; It was not good. I was optimistic, it looked good, the price was right, the suitcase was included. I used a new blade to slice off a piece of foam (e.g., science project style, 1/2" or 1/4") and I made slow, deliberate cuts rather than chopping it. The goal was an 11x14 piece. After about three passes I noticed more resistance. It ended up looking like I was using a weed trimmer. I would need all the blades in the box and a whetstone to get a good cut. Thought I'd try again, maybe the foam core was too much. For the next challenge, I added a new blade to fight with a piece of cardboard (the kind of cardboard that can be fed through an inkjet printer). Everything seems to be "good". Then, with minimal pressure, the blade breaks in half and flies across the room. Obviously there were too many cards for this knife. If all you need is a tissue paper cutting knife, you might have a winner. If you're planning on cutting something else, you might not be thrilled. At least the case was good.
