Review on Enhance Your Listening Experience with Vbestlife Gramophone Phonograph Vinyl Record Players Replacement Motor 6-12V by Richard Sallah

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Seems to work, haven't actually used it yet

Bought for a 3D printed player project I'm working on. It took me a while to figure it out, but I needed to find the right connector, wire connections, and RPM of this motor to get started on the project. For this motor, the connector is 4S 5Pin Female-XH JST connector. You can get 5 for $5, wire color doesn't matter, just for your own use. The wiring is quite simple, + goes to the plus of your PSU, - goes to the minus of your PSU, and that gives a low speed of 33.33 rpm. If you connect A to B you get a high speed of 78 rpm at least From what I've seen you need a varistor. to get the correct speed between these terminals. Connecting B to the unmarked top connector gives an average speed of 45 RPM. From what I can tell the idle speed at 33.33 rpm at the shaft is about 1100 rpm. I measured the shaft pulley and the ratio should give a large 6.75" diameter pulley, around 33.33 rpm / min on the turntable. I haven't printed out my pulley for testing yet, but it may be necessary to use the speed controller on the bottom of the motor to get this done anyway. I was looking for some kind of digital adaptive engine speed control, but this transistor motor may already have some kind of load regulation circuitry since it already has a transistor installed. I haven't printed my pulley for testing yet, however it might be. You'd have to use the speed controller on the underside of the motor anyway.
