Review on Yamaha NS-AW350W All-Weather Indoor/Outdoor 2-Way Speakers - White (Pair): Unparalleled Sound Quality for Both Indoor and Outdoor Listening by Jaime Ferguson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice big speaker. Lattices fall off (you need to tape them back).

What a pleasant surprise! When I received the speakers they were well packaged and much larger than I expected. This is a powerful device with a good weight. I removed the old speakers that the previous owner installed and installed them in the new Yamaha. They connected easily and looked great. The design is curved and stylish. I mounted mine vertically so I could point it down. The only downside is the limited horizontal movement. So if you need to aim very low, you can't. I think you can stuff the rear with 2x4's or something to get a little more travel, but that could be mitigated with a lower mount. I ran mine from Emotiva at 2x50 watts. Source - Airport Express streaming music. The sound is pretty impressive. The bass hits hard and it can be harsh on the road, and the highs are nice and clear. The speakers sound a bit bright, but that too is the result of working outdoors. I was so impressed I bought a second pair for another play outside. only minuses. The sticks fall off after a few months. This agrees with other reviews here and with all 4 of mine. I glued them back on and they lasted 2 years. I would recommend anyone buying these to put a few drops of super glue on a few spots around the rust right away. If dropped, the bars can easily bend and it takes work to get them back in the perfect position, so it's best to just avoid this problem. about these lattice and vertical motion problems. I will say that the sound quality, look and feel are really above their price point. I recommend them without hesitation. For the price they are a bargain!
