Originally, I ordered these with the intention of growing assorted succulents but now I primarily use these for propagations. I found the width to height ratio not ideal for developing a strong root system and they’re kinda short for stabilizing the taller "thriller” types.Currently, I have one dedicated to rooting some string of Dolphins and raindrop cuttings. They’re secured to the top peat moss layer with little pieces of wire. The other is for random succulent leaf propagations. I keep both outside so the ceramic material seems to help keep the soil at the optimal moisture level to promote growth. The trays are pretty useless. They started to warp within the first week and I don’t even use them now. These are definitely useful little planters to have around if you’re into succulents.
