I bought this heat shrink tubing to place the couplers in the middle of my garden hose. The clutch grabbed onto everything and put a lot of strain on the hose, not to mention you had to go back and loosen that thing. Strain relief so that the hose does not kink too much at the connection. Whether that solves the hose problem is immaterial, although so far so good. I will be buying more heat shrink tubing because it worked well and shrunk to a smooth and thick finish. 40mm pipe requires heat gun; Soldering irons, lighters or matches will not help.
