Last year I ordered this dress in pink 3t for photos, my daughter liked it so much I ordered 4t/5t to wear it, and it was too long. I don't want to order a size smaller because I'm afraid the top will be too tight. Overall the quality is excellent, this is every little girl's dream dress. If in doubt, I would order 2 dress sizes and return the one that didn't fit.
