This is a lightweight UV flashlight. I can't say for sure that it kills microorganisms because I don't have a microscope to prove it. But I do know for sure that UV light doesn't kill microorganisms and it is UV light. We have a huge one at the hospital I work at and it's proven to work so I bought it for my phone. It gives me peace of mind and it was cheap! Anything to fight germs.
