This is a really cute, as well as practical beach cover-up. In addition to wearing it over a swimsuit, it can easily be worn as a long shirt and I think it works just as well layered over a tank or worn on its own and buttoned up. The finely woven fabric is smooth, thin and light but is not particularly sheer. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on preferences -- most of my cover-ups are the loose, airy, gauzy types that are quite see-through and they dry very quickly. This one is more structured and offers more coverage and better protection agains the sun, but my swimsuit is not as visible underneath and the material doesn't dry as quickly. I actually like having both kinds, so I can pick and choose depending on my mood. I am 5'4" tall and wear a size 14. I usually order size XL if a cover-up is the unstructured, floaty kind and size XXL if it is more structured, like this one. I'm glad I chose the XXL even though the size chart states that a size L or XL would be the right size for me, as the shoulders and sleeves would have likely been too snug otherwise. I like that the sleeves have a button tab so I can roll them up and they are held in place. The cover-up is well made with well-secured buttons and nicely finished buttonholes. I like the fuss-free mandarin style neckline and the length of the cover-up extends to just below my knees. The fit is just slightly loose rather than flowy. I ordered the dark cyan which is a lovely greenish-blue color and is more of a medium shade than dark. This is a comfortable cover-up and I like the style. I will wear it often this summer, both casually with jeans or at the beach or pool. The current price of $23.99 seems reasonable although some colors and sizes are priced lower.
