Read if you have concrete walls

My cat loves the hammock! It's also the most durable hammock I've ever owned and I'm very happy with its aesthetics and safety. She weighs over 12 pounds so it was important to find a functional, durable and beautiful hammock: here is this product. My only criticism is that I have plastered concrete walls and if you have any you understand how difficult it is to do this. to hang sth I hired a contractor because you need a masonry drill to get into the wall. The only problem is that to insert the anchor you have to drill a larger hole with the masonry bit INSIDE the wall while keeping a small hole "outside" for visibility and minimizing the gap. The included lever hooks are long so he had to drill deeper to hide the entire hook, which is difficult with masonry. The contractor was able to get the first dowel to work but it sticks out a bit from the wall and on the second we lost the smaller part spreading the stud in the wall because the hook arm is again too long. for concrete walls, and when we screwed in a hook, it actually fell into the chasm inside the building. Luckily it had an alternative that fit under the hook and I would say it looked more flush with the wall (see my third photo). Therefore, if you are going to plug it into a masonry or concrete wall, I recommend trimming the lever hook to fit your interior wall's specs so you don't have to drill as deep and create a wider dowel hole. I preferred the cap the contractor used because he could never get the dowel all the way into the wall. The tip is still very strong and since it's mine I don't mind a small mistake and maybe plaster it up later to give the hooks a more finished look. Installation was tricky but doable. Be sure to let your contractor know that they may need to trim the hooks first to make the job easier. But overall I love it. my cat loves it I'm even considering getting a second one for the kitchen because I really like the look of it and my cat obviously loves being in it.
