I'm African American/Japanese with curly (not quite curly) hair. When I first used this little thing, I hated it. But I thought that like any new product, maybe I should wait and try it. We all need this adjustment period. Now that I've used it about 3 or 4 times on laundry days, I love this little suction cup! It fits my hand perfectly and the trick to detangling with this brush is to work with very small strands of hair. It really works wonders and I can see it reducing hair loss in my detangling process. As a precaution, try not to brush your scalp with it. I scratched my scalp with it and since the teeth are a little prickly it wasn't very comfortable. But it turns out great.
