Cat6 improves Cat5 speed by more than 15%

Having used Cat5 cables for Internet modems, routers and PC connections for many years, it never occurred to me to upgrade to Ethernet cables. Through August 3, 2021. Testing WiFi routers with/for WeLink internet service in Henderson, Nevada, I call in-house technicians almost daily. Our goal is to achieve maximum download speeds from rooftop radios installed in homes and businesses. During a phone conversation I mentioned an advert for Cat8 cables that I saw on Revain, so I did a little research and WeLink told me that they believe Cat5E or Cat6 work best. So I ordered Monoprice because of the low price and I've bought their other items with good results. CONCLUSION: I ran speed tests using Cat5 cables, then replaced the modem with a router and a PC router using Monoprice Cat6 cables. RESULTS. Download speed increased from 497 Mbps to 575 Mbps, up 15.69%.
