I bought this for my 9 year old as a music costume. She is VERY sensitive to the texture and fit of clothing. She is also small for her age. The skirt's waist is yielding - wide, soft and stretchy to fit a variety of body shapes and can be easily pleated to adjust the length - while looking professional. She liked the skirt and asked to wear it to school the next day.
