I bought this item to store baby items like socks, t-shirts and pacifiers in the compartments. These items aren't heavy, which means most of what I need for a storage organizer isn't that big. After a few months, the bottom of the middle compartment on the side came loose, so one of the two items I spent nearly $40 on is now junk. The rest of the ranks bowed. I would say that the manufacturer should expect you to store fabric or feathers in compartments. I suggest if you are looking for hanging storage look elsewhere. I found a replacement from another company that is durable and well made.
