The reviewers who complained that it wasn't made from sweatshirt material didn't read the product description. The product description clearly states that the sweatshirt is made of polyester and spandex. It's heavy enough to be called a sweatshirt, but not as hot as inside. He is super soft and so cute. Washes well and appears to be well made. The only complaint is its size. I bought a 10-12 for my thin but tall almost 8 year old granddaughter because she wears a size 10 American shirt. He was too big. I'm keeping it because it's so cute and she can wear it next year. I ordered 7-8 for them a few minutes ago.
