The tape is a bit difficult to remove from the box but easy to install. I was concerned for a while that it wouldn't work so I asked my mum to take a look, turns out I didn't have the part of the typewriter that writes letters correctly so I couldn't get it into the ribbon. Once pressed into place it worked great, producing crisp black letters. Before returning, please make sure your machine's stamping part is installed correctly, otherwise it will not work with a ribbon you purchased.
