Blue makes really good mics, not great but really good. You can't beat their bang for the buck. I have a couple of high quality microphones that I use for voice acting and commercial work. The Snowball certainly doesn't have the richness of the Neumann, but it's literally a fraction of the cost and I'd have no hesitation in using it as a last resort for quick professional work. This makes it great for podcasts, YouTubers, gaming, audio/video conferencing, and any other amateur or semi-professional language work. The status isn't very good but some of the reviews here are unfair. This isn't high-end studio gear, and if you thought you could get it for $20, you've lost your mind. It mounts fairly securely with the included hardware and will stay where you put it as long as you don't overstress the springs or overtighten the set screws. This is a lightweight stand and like the microphone, you can't beat the cost. Not a lot of frills but it does the job. The pop-up screen is actually quite good quality. It's a two-layer screen with high-quality membranes on both sides. The mount is a bit odd but works well once you get past the odd shape they use to make it "universal". Excellent value for money and quality. All in all this kit is a great starter kit for anyone thinking about working with speech and a really good kit for most general purpose audio recording.
