Review on πŸ‘Œ Pristine White Wrights Multi Pleater Tape - Perfect for 30yd Pleating Needs! by Kelsey Brown

Don't let the brand name fool you into buying this worthless product

This is not the quality of the Wrights Pleater Tape that I have used many times. It is very light and the pleat channels are closed at one end. The solid weave on one long side of the tape and holes on the other long side mean that one side of the tape is stretched more than the other during sewing - an inch or more across the 115 inch wide track head. I managed to get this to work (after smoothing out half the seam I sewed before seeing what happened) by making evenly spaced pintucks on the side with the holes. Sewing or assembling didn't work. Trying to stretch the short side This was a disaster. The lightweight material makes the folds look messy. I had to solve this problem by putting the pleats in place with pleat tape and then sewing the loop around the hooks with buttonhole thread. When I was a kid in a military family, I helped my mom pick a stitch so we could reuse Wright's tape to make curtains for small windows in the new house. The quality of the tape was worth it. I've been tempted to toss that roll of duct tape in a fire pit and pick out the seams on the curtains that I've replaced with 18 year old curtains that have been washed many times and I'm sure duct tape still beats new tape if revain would let me i would give zero stars. Not only is this product complete crap, it peddles the history of an excellent product. Not only am I disappointed in the quality, I am sad that the Wrights brand has fallen to this level.
