Blood Sugar Support for Pets RHP contains ingredients that are very similar to blood sugar supplements for people with diabetes. I have an older kitten who has diabetes. We developed a new diet for him - no carbs in his now homemade food - and about a month later we added this supplement. The disease was suspended after a few weeks - no canned food and no ice cream. Billy loved ice cream. About two weeks after adding this supplement, we noticed that he was even better. He. became the same again. He also gained weight that he had lost over the past year. Since we cannot afford many visits to the vet, we are particularly interested in keeping him healthy in this way. All I do is add about a third of a capsule to his meals three times a day. (He eats separately from our five other cats and is often hungry so we keep him full.) I can't swear the supplement is one of the reasons Billy got better. Diet is a big part of it, but the ingredients in this supplement are absolutely great for glycemic control, so I'll be buying more of these. The supplement isn't cheap, but it's a lot less than a vet's bill and will hopefully help keep him off insulin.
