Soft but durable leather. Strong smooth zippers. Each bag has a fabric lining and some have zip pockets in the larger bag. They also have a lining. The design is easy to get in and out of, and there are plenty of storage spaces. The leather carrying handle is well built and feels comfortable in the hand, and the shoulder straps are comfortable and well designed. In my experience, Frye products are made from quality materials, so I have no doubt that this backpack will last for many years. It's worth the price!
