This is an insect repellent. It glows and repels insects. I bought it to make my patio evenings more enjoyable and this zapper really helped. I used to have mosquitoes but not anymore. There is no switch, you plug it in and it turns on, so I connected it to my home automation system's smart socket (not included) and programmed it to turn on at sunset and turn off at sunrise so I could it can forget this. Now I can control it from my phone. The first few days I checked the cleaning tray on the bottom. It screws on and closes easily, and I got rid of a few pesky little bugs. I don't check it that often because I just don't have any mosquitos left to kill. A small brush is included to clean up loose wires, but you'll need to keep an eye on this brush when unpacking the zip as it's easy to miss as it's not obvious. It works for me and I am happy with the purchase and would recommend it to my friends.
