I bought this knowing it was battery operated but planning to follow the lead reviewer's suggestion of plugging it in for a continuous power supply. PROS: Converting to a plug-in device was easy following the main reviewer's instructions. No soldering needed and I had a great adapter in my bin too lol. Looks beautiful. Threads are firmly attached, do not fall out. CONS: They attached a tiny screw to the battery compartment. You need a small screwdriver to open it. My fibers aren't fanning out the way I'd like them to. Not even close to a semicircle. Was hoping it would be thicker. Tried to manipulate them but to no avail. Maybe they will bend a little more over time. I want to be able to set a fixed traffic light instead of going through all the traffic lights. The brighter lights are too distracting for my liking, I can't put it next to the TV. Plus it was cheap to put in - the battery beats! :)
