Review on OtterBox Symmetry 360 Case IPAD by Tyler Bonnell

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good case, but I expected a rough look.

I bought this case instead of the Apple Smart Case because it doesn't offer any protection for the object, which consists of two leather-wrapped boxes that cover an expensive $80 tablet front and back. At the time of purchase (May 2021) this case was on sale for 50-60% of the original price so I thought it was a bargain. At first I was excited; It was a good case that matched my Symmetry and Commuter case with my iPhone 11 Pro Max, but I was expecting a sturdier look (even the Symmetry case for iPhone looks sturdier than this one). I'm not a fan of the transparent back, just know that scratches accumulate over time. I'd rather have a thick back and TP on the sides like the Commuter series on the iPhone. As for holding the Apple Pencil, I currently have an Apple Pencil case so using the magnetic side of the iPad to attach the Apple Pencil doesn't work as the case flap is too small for the Apple Pencil. I ended up attaching the Apple Pencil to the flap itself; The pencil will not move when you carry the iPad and will not fall off unless you shake the iPad with excessive force. I still like this case though, I just think it would be better if it was more durable (though not as durable as the Defender series, but somewhat in between like the Symmetry and Commuter series).

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • For a long time
