This was a last minute purchase to avoid nine months of Covid confinement! I have quite a lot of silver pieces and have spent entire evenings polishing them. I liked the idea of a transparent flexible case that could also slow down the inevitable tarnishing. The necklace pocket could occupy more space between each item. It could also use a 3D compartment for wide cuffs and a place for long dangling earrings. The ability to fold (this is where the necklaces get tangled) or hang is a huge plus. I found that there are too many small compartments, 3x3 or 3x4 would suit my needs better. I left some nice things at home because they didn't fit in the tiny compartments. If I had more time, I'd probably return it and get one of the tarnish-resistant leather cases. The custodian is by and large a unique storage system that could easily be modified. The ingenious zip system is a plus as each side has the option of zipping from edge to center or fully. Here my problem arose. The only seam around the piping that connects all the zippers didn't catch, so I unzipped the middle of the zipper. A LIGHTNING. A SW. With all zippers and compartments held by a seam. Since each zipper has the opportunity to go to the other edge, just avoiding the last branch was enough to PUT ALL THE OTHERS IN PLACE! Very well built! The company was willing to return it or fix it, but even though the Guardian arrived just in time for me to fill up (delivery was fast!), I didn't have time to unpack my treasures, arrange for a return and wait for a replacement. After 9 months of virtual seclusion I just wanted to get out and look gorgeous when I arrived at my destination. I have made! With all of this, the company addressed my concerns - I just didn't have time for that. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a purchase to be perfect, but in reality that's not always the case. How well the Guardian actually delays fading only time will tell.
