At first glance the Anker is a nice solid device but as mentioned in the one star reviews it has a few issues. I can live with one and with the other, which has rendered the device unusable for three minutes. As I mentioned, Brick kept my phone charged and running throughout the day, even while it was in use. It had enough ports for multiple devices. To replenish your own reserves, you need an overnight stay on a good charger, which is understandable. As others have noted, leaving the cord plugged in and simply plugging the phone into the cord when needed did not work as intended. I assumed it was a security feature, but if you're expecting a persistent connection, note that you'll have to unplug and plug the cable back in to charge it after it's been disconnected for a while. Another issue that caused my device to terminate prematurely this morning is that the micro USB port is weak. When I plugged it into the outlet to charge today, I noticed that the light went out after plugging it in. Wiggle the cord and the light will turn on and off. I pulled out the cable only to see the connector in the anchor slowly tip over and rumble back into the device in slow motion. Excellent. I still have three lamps to charge. My new portable charger should be delivered by then.
