My baby loves them on the outside. It's easier for her to jump into the paddling pool and then put on her shoes before going back in. This helps keep their feet clean and safe. There's a lot of rocks in my backyard so I'm feeling better. They fit her well but not tight enough for me to let her wear them outside the house. She said they weren't as comfortable as her sandals. The bonus, however, is that they can be hosed down while their hiking sandals cannot. Easy to clean, very light and the holes allow children to customize them. Ideal for short trips, but would have liked something safer for running.
