For a $25 piece of furniture they really couldn't be better. They are useful for office/dorm/studio etc, not for visual show. But for simplicity, they are very easy to assemble, no tools are required and they are much stronger than expected. I use them as speaker and tech racks behind my monitors and they are perfect, almost sexy and 90% cheaper than real speaker stands. A bit of acoustic foam on top and they offer everything that $250 speaker stands offer. And for any shelf use (I've used Target, Walmart, and Revain units), they're just plain better. No, you don't want to put on really heavy things like a TV or a heavy plant, but then again, they cost $25.
