Review on ITEQ Automotive Oxygen Sensor Removal by Carlos Long

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Oversized and relaxed fit! Attention rounding!

I found that this tool kit is slightly larger and therefore fits very loosely on the Denso sensor in my Toyota. That in itself isn't a good thing, but they also tend to open up under load, so the chances of rounding off the oxygen sensor while it's still in the exhaust system are pretty high. I tested the fit of a 22mm socket on a brand new gauge and it fits perfectly so I know it's not a gauge. They work well on sensors that are easy to reach, but I wouldn't use them on sensors that are hard to reach. I was using a fine offset on a very hard to reach sensor and it was dangerously close to this sensor's full roundness. I pulled it out using a trick my dad taught me. Put the oversized tooling in the freezer for a few hours to shrink, ran the car until it was fully warmed up and it worked, but barely. I will not try these tools on another sensor.

Pros
  • 3 types of universal socket wrenches cover different oxygen sensor positioning situations
Cons
  • Doubtful
