I love deep frying and often use a mandolin to chop vegetables so I always keep a pair of cut resistant gloves in my kitchen towel drawer. This brand of cut resistant gloves works well. To test it, I put one on my arm and ran the knife blade harder and harder across my palm to see if the fabric would cut. I guess if I were smart I wouldn't do the first test run myself. But I was lucky, even with my hand in the glove, the gloves worked and the knife didn't cut through the fabric. The serrated edge of the knife caught a few metal fibers. I bought a medium size which fits snug without being too small. If you are between glove sizes or unsure of which size to go I would go up a size rather than down. For dry cleaning, machine or hand wash and dry.
