Crash on day 26

My Jacuzzi Duet washes across the floor. No matter how closely I aligned the leveling feet, it "walked" or just moved across the floor. The washing machine is heavy and the front loader rotates counterclockwise. This resulted in the washing machine constantly moving counter-clockwise on the floor. With clothes and water, the car gets heavier. I installed these anti-vibration pads which was an easy task. With the board I was able to lift the corner onto the pad and by doing this at each corner I was able to easily position the pads under each foot. I marked the position of each pad and started uploading. The car didn't move at all. It was quieter. After the first week and six downloads I thought I found the solution. The car didn't move for 26 days. On the 26th day I went to take the laundry out of the washing machine and it moved seven inches. I couldn't believe it - no movement for 25 days and now it's a huge movement. I removed four anti-vibration pads to see how they failed. The pads are not solid but have a ridge underneath. This mesh is a "+" inside a circle. The web should support the center, but in this case the web has rotated counter-clockwise. Rubber isn't super hard (it absorbs vibrations) but that's the downside, rubber isn't strong enough to withstand the twisting force between the ground and the car. Would a solid floor work better? This reduces the chance of the main material failing in the middle and collapsing, which then lifts the perimeter material from contact with the ground. I ordered a hard backed anti-vibration pad and hope it will last longer. It would be nice if Mfg would indicate the hardness of the material used. I don't want the rubber to be super, I want it to be able to grip the ground smoothly.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Protection
