they are not square. As you can see in the attached photo, although the top and bottom are flat, the sides are slanted. It's about a rectangle, or rather a parallelogram. It doesn't look like it can be fixed somehow. In the second photo it is shown on the grid. The bottom edge snaps to the grid. You can see how tilted the instrument is along the long side. I've bought a pack of 4 and so far one is good, one is crooked front to back (which you won't really notice and I'll leave it) and two are crooked side by side like this one. Definitely not my house!
