I have purchased several of these fans over the years. I use it at the breakfast table to cool off after a workout or to work outside. It would also be very good for a desk or work station. It's relatively quiet, moves large volumes of air at both low and high speeds, and is very efficient; I use rechargeable batteries and get around 6-8 hours of use from one set. Alkaline batteries will probably last longer, but of course they will cost more in the long run. I like that it folds up and doesn't take up much space when not in use. As the title of my review suggests, this is a personal fan; Don't expect it to cool the room. It works great when it's 2-3 feet away from you and you love the way the air moves around you.
