You may be surprised at how hard these splitters are to find. If you have an iPad/iPhone and want to make a general call but don't want to use speakerphone, the option is. but that's why I didn't get it. I use Astro A40s for gaming and needed a way to pull chat audio from Mixamp and add it to my Twitch live stream. Here are some issues that need to be addressed in this attempt.1. If you split the mixamp, you need to make sure that all pins of the connector are used. (This means you need to make sure you connect the headphone/mic splitter to the one you plug into your line on your streaming computer)2. You can turn up the volume a bit to compensate for the performance loss from the disconnect. (although not by much) 3. The splitter I have is quite narrow and you have to push the cable *FIRMLY* into the splitter.
