The design of the instrument is outstanding. Build quality is terrible

This thing would work great if made better. When I first used it, the welds holding the plates to the bolt broke. When I look at the welds, they were the smallest welds I've ever seen. It was almost like soldering. Those welds didn't stand a chance. I could probably weld a lot of sweat to the outside of the plates and they would never move, but I'll get it back. The design of the instrument is awesome but the quality of this particular instrument is rubbish.
