I've been using this shower head for three months. I installed it myself quickly and effortlessly after moving into the house my fiance and I bought. I would like to remind you that my average rating is mainly based on personal preferences and experience with this device. It was packaged well and when Insaw got her Insaw she was really impressed with its size and how beautiful it looked. I immediately removed the little normal thing. It was easy to remove. I just used needle nose pliers and it popped right out. I was really impressed with the overall quality of this shower head. It doesn't look flimsy or cheap in any way. This is a beautiful light that looks a lot more expensive than it is. That's the problem. I hate him. This type of shower head just isn't for me. To be honest I can't wait to update my shower with more traditional fixtures. Here's why: First, the amount of water this showerhead uses for even a 10-minute shower is just plain absurd. We have a huge kettle and if I want to take a shower for more than 10 minutes (which is typical for me with hair masks, shaving, scrubs etc etc) I'm starting to run out of hot water. After 15 minutes my water is almost cold. My drain can't even handle the amount of water being drained and it's starting to puddle. I would have had to put in a much larger sink to accommodate this behemoth and it would be just plain stupid to take a job like that for a faucet I don't like. Second, it just doesn't make logistical sense for my personal needs in the shower. I feel like it's so big I can't stop spraying to do something I don't want to rinse off right away like shaving cream or hair remover. It's annoying. My shower is by no means small, but it is taller and longer than it is wide. It's an open trail that's over 11ft tall and 7ft wide but I still get water in my eyes and shaving cream down the drain before I do anything lol. I don't want to be completely out of water and cold to do these things. It's just not fun. Third, the pressure isn't strong enough and I have a hard time rinsing out shampoos and conditioners. from my thick hair. So much so that I've had more extensions, which not only dull my bleached blonde, which I spend a lot of money on, but also weigh my hair down. I had to use more clarifying shampoos that fell on bleached hair. I know what you're thinking. Rain shower heads should look like RAIN. And that might be more of a personal preference, but I USE hotel rain showers and those that have more pressure than this particular fixture. I can't imagine what it would be like if I held down the button. Ouch. I will say my fiancé seems to like it but he has a shaved head and takes a 5 minute shower lol. Finally I installed this shower head. in the universal filter head. The filter is supposed to last 3 months but I had to replace the filter after the first month. I am very sensitive to hard water. This makes my skin itchy, dry and red and I was shocked at how quickly I had to change the filter. I attribute this to the amount of water flowing through them. Not only are our water bills higher, but I also have to buy new filters every month. It's just very wasteful and expensive. I'm glad I bought it and tried it because now I know what I want to do with our bathroom and I'll probably either give it to a friend or put it in the guest house shower. .In general when it comes to rain shower heads I think they are a good choice if you know what you want and are familiar with the amount of water used and all the features that come with this type of faucet. Perhaps it is better suited for occasional showers than daily showers. This is one of the most impressive rain shower heads I've seen, but I didn't buy it to look at.
