We used them a couple of times in dry weather in the mid 30's and they worked fine. My son doesn't try to take them off and seems comfortable. When we come in outside after 30 minutes or an hour, his hands are cool - not hot, but not cold either. They probably won't hold up in very cold temperatures or in the snow for long periods of time.
