Review on 👗 Dritz 20405 My Double Deluxe Dressform: Tri-Pod Stand, Up to 70” Shoulder Height, Small Size, Blue Sapphire Finish by Jessica Lewis

I'm glad I bought this special outfit. I have to say that I've spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews on all types of clothing. First, I know this is not a professional seamstress. This is just for me and I will not make any permanent adjustments to it. I'll go through this form with all the pros and cons and hope I remember all of my thoughts as I put it together. If you don't want to read the whole review I will say that I RECOMMEND this form. PROS: * I think it's pretty strong considering it can be very heavy. It is not heavy and is relatively easy to move. just remember grab it by the pole. * The form rotates 360. Someone wrote that this is not so, but it is so. A very good feature. *Metal stand, not plastic. Happy about it. * The body can be removed from the pole if you need to store it in a small space. It's easy to do. The legs of the stand can also slide up and down for storage. * Nice color. After adding the bra to the shape, I added the shapewear I had. Closed all locations opened after the adjustments. I see on Revain that you can buy some sort of jumpsuit to cover up the uniform after you've added all your padding. If you don't like looking at a striped uniform, wear a blouse over it. * My dials were easy to move. I followed the instructions that said each section must be solved from the bottom up to free up all the different sections before making any final adjustments. They are plastic but I felt strong enough. * An off-center bar costs extra. Very comfortable with pants *Fitting was minimal *The mark on the hem is a nice feature *I believe there are 2 areas you can make the shape bigger. Being short I just had to lift it up a bit. * I ordered through Revain and as a main member my uniform was practically on my doorstep before I placed my order. CONS: * Some of the instructions are absolutely pathetic and misleading. While adjusting the chest, waist, and hips is easy, there should be more detailed instructions on how to fit. They adjust evenly around the circumference, or maybe you adjust more in the front than in the back. I'm still playing with this part. I just feel like Dritz could explain more detail than she could. Minimal instructions.* This is my biggest complaint: the back/waist adjustment instructions are either incorrect or non-existent. I have asked for help on all forums on how to increase the length of the torso. The guide (picture only, no words) shows a button for this setting, but as far as I understand it's wrong. The pen just makes the whole shape bigger. In the end I decided that I would just lay the shape on my back and then I started to gradually pull the top part from the bottom part, spreading them evenly. Apparently, in this way you lengthen the waist. Nowhere in the instructions does it say that. Also you need to be careful when doing this as there are metal clips that hold the top and bottom together and you need to make sure you don't go too far and pull them out of the clips. For your information, length can only be extended by about 1 1/2" - 2". This is not mentioned anywhere. I needed a small uniform but I'm only 5ft 2in tall. I never thought I had a long waist, but I needed to lengthen my torso as much as possible. In this area I found the uniform sparse. I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO ANSWERED MY QUESTION AND HOPE MY INFORMATION HERE WILL HELP YOU. * I didn't even think the sizes on the dials were worth considering, I couldn't read them. Don't rely on the # on the dials. * I didn't really like the neck setting. Mine cannot be fine-tuned. just haven't figured it out yet. My form requires the neck to be pinned to be able to move and I thought it was quite difficult and I was afraid I would break it. This size doesn't bother me too much.* I know uniforms this size are the same, but they could use a little more padding to secure with pins. The pins should enter at an angle. You can't just push the pin in. When I received the form (early February) and had a question about how to lengthen my waist, I emailed my question to the customer service team. I received an email saying my email was received and someone will reply in 2 weeks. Well it's a month later and I haven't heard from them. Not a very good way of doing business. So be aware in advance that the company will not come to your rescue if you have any questions. Better ask on the Revine forum. These people are the best.
