USB 4 to Thunderbolt 4 Cable: $19.99 cable, I just don't like wasting time on it). So I bought this little guy to connect a Thunderbolt 3 drive to a Mac Mini in my server rack (getting rid of the 2" cable that always gets in the way). This little thing definitely works with at least the TB3 standard as my drive connects with no problem and thanks to the TB3 bus it maximizes read/write speeds. I also tested it on a Thunderbolt only dock by connecting a Dell XPS 13 to a USB4 port. That worked great too, and I know because the dock doesn't recognize the devices unless you use a Thunderbolt cable. Overall, this is a great little cable, but I only have one issue with it. At $20, it's *very* expensive for what it is (passive USB4/Thunderbolt cable). There are longer and better options in this price range (unless you need something super short). -------------*Good*: Works fine with TB3-only dock and TB drive.* Cons*: Quite expensive for the price.*Summary:* I like this cable for exactly that reason , because the reason I need it is a very short cable in a small space. But for $20 there are better options if you don't need something this short. Four stars out of five because it suits my purpose perfectly but comes at a more competitive price. I would still order it again because I need this size.
