I've recently become addicted to tea and quickly realized that smaller cups with a brew attachment are not for me. I love that this mug is big and holds such a large volume. I've also found that tea doesn't come cheap, so I think with a larger mug I'm actually using less tea, if that makes sense. The tea seems to have a much longer shelf life and I feel like it saves my tea consumption as I don't plan on making new cups as often. The cup seems solid. The handle lies comfortably in the hand. I love that I can see the color of the tea through the clear glass. Brewing tea in this mug is also easy. looks so nice but it's bulky and displaces so much water and since the actual part of the filter is just a small circle at the bottom there is no way to soak the basket as water can't fill the soak basket as quickly as it rises in a circle so the water tends to splash if you try this. This is not the case with this large mug. I like that the tea basket has strainer holes all the way around so it's easy to soak the tea basket while brewing and not spill or get tangled up with this basket. The lightweight metal doesn't displace as much water either, so you can actually get about 20 ounces of liquid in this mug. However, as someone else mentioned, some of the really small particles seem to seep into the cup. I personally don't care about it, but for those who just want to mention it. I am very happy with this purchase and I hope to get a lot of use out of this mug.
