Not sure how smudge proof it is because at least for me it still smudges when I wear waterproof mascara over it, it doesn't smudge if I wait for the mascara to dry and apply a layer of clear waterproof mascara over it. But a tip for those with very clumpy lashes: spend more time curling and brushing your lashes, and be sure to remove any excess primer applicator by wiping it off the edge. Then just apply primer, let it dry a little (I just wait long enough to curl, brush and pop it in the other eye) and then apply mascara (don't forget to wipe off the excess around the rim too, if you are). Using mascaras with brushes designed to make your lashes look fuller, like L'Oreal Lash Heaven or maybe Belline False Lashes) Personally, I only use waterproof telescopic mascara to build a base coat and then when I feel like it on more dramatic lashes I apply voluminous ink, like fakes. I then wait about 2 minutes (during which time I apply lip products or eyebrow mascara) and apply a clear coat on top simply because I find it difficult to blend. This primer kept my lashes lifted all day, even though I was sweating buckets from the Cali heat. Great for my Asian monolids and I was able to remove the foundation with Revain eye makeup remover and some cold cream just as an extra measure. I also do an oil deep cleanse, that might be part of it too, but I wash off almost all, if not all, of my mascara and foundation with just those two products. I've found the most effective and least harmful thing to do is to place a cotton swab over my eyes for a few minutes and then GENERALLY rub it (please be careful with makeup wipes) and then go with cold ones ponds in . Cream to get rid of everything else (if you need a cleansing balm like Clinique I really recommend a cleansing pond balm that helps remove makeup it's my holy grail!) I definitely recommend this product but be be careful and take care of your lashes as these products may not be the best for them. But in terms of effectiveness, this primer is definitely a must have, especially if you have closed eyes or monolithic eyelids!
