Listened to the book on tape and the mechanism broke on the last page of the last cassette so it pretty much lasts 12 hours. I tried changing the batteries but without much pleasure. Sending the battery in to the manufacturer for repair under their generous 90-day warranty costs $6 plus shipping. So it's cheaper to buy another one, except it's not worth buying another one as it's likely to break again. A little less than a dollar for an hour of gameplay, I don't think it's worth it.
